Total Eye Care Performs LASIK on American Idol Contestant, Catie Turner

Langhorne native Catie Turner, also known as a top-7 finalist on American Idol, paid a visit to our office seeking LASIK eye surgery before leaving for the American Idol LIVE! Tour.

We were able to squeeze her in so she could go without glasses and perform on stage with 20/20 vision for the highly anticipated tour this summer.

Although she was excited for her new vision, she was a bit nervous at first.

“I didn’t really understand anything about LASIK, all I’ve heard were success stories.”

Turner says after the quick procedure, “I was seeing immediately better.”

She was able to see clearly within the first 24 hours after the procedure. So clear, that vision glasses won’t be on her American Idol LIVE! tour packing list.

“I don’t even need to wear glasses. I mean, for tour purposes, though, I will buy fake glasses to wear sometimes. I do like to mix it up a little bit and I do miss my glasses a little bit for the style element. But now I can go on tour and I can just rip them off and I can see everything. I can see a 3-D movie and not have to put glasses on top of glasses! I can just wear one pair of glasses. It’s just the simple things that I couldn’t experience when I was younger because I was always wearing glasses, that make me so happy,” exclaims Turner.
