Say Goodbye to Cloudy Vision

With Advanced Cataract Surgery at Total Eye Care Centers

Are You Experiencing Symptoms of Cataracts?

Take the Cataract Self-Test to find out if cataract surgery is right for you.

What Are Cataracts?

Cataracts develop when proteins in the eye's natural lens begin to deteriorate and clump together. Over time, this leads to a gradual clouding of vision. Colors may appear less vivid, fine details may diminish, and it can feel as though you're gazing through a window that is constantly dirty. Some common symptoms of cataracts are:

Blurry or hazy vision
Seeing halos, streaks, or glare around lights
Needing frequent changes to your prescription
Greater sensitivity to bright light
Double vision
Colors may appear dull, faded, or yellowed
Trouble seeing at night, especially when driving or reading

What to Expect During Cataract Surgery at Total Eye Care Centers

At Total Eye Care Centers, we have made cataract surgery quicker, safer, and more efficient than ever before. We provide both traditional cataract surgery, a reputable procedure that millions of U.S. patients undergo annually, and laser cataract surgery, which offers the same advantages but with enhanced precision, more reliable outcomes, and improved vision post-surgery.

In just 10-15 minutes, your cataract surgeon creates a small incision in your cornea, carefully removes the cloudy lens using a specialized instrument or femtosecond laser, and implants a clear intraocular lens (IOL) of your selection. After your recovery, you can look forward to experiencing the world with sharper, brighter clarity than you have enjoyed in years.

Advanced Technology IOL Options

Cataract surgery involves replacing your cloudy natural lens with a clear intraocular lens, commonly referred to as an IOL. These lenses are customized to meet your vision requirements, similar to selecting the ideal prescription for your eyeglasses or contact lenses.

Standard monofocal IOLs enhance your vision at a single distance, correcting either nearsightedness or farsightedness. For individuals seeking greater freedom from glasses, our advanced premium IOLs can improve your vision and reduce your reliance on visual aids.

At Total Eye Care Centers, we provide a wide range of premium IOL options:

Multifocal/Trifocal IOLs

A multifocal lens can lessen or eliminate your need for glasses or contacts after cataract surgery. These sophisticated lenses deliver outstanding vision at near, intermediate, and far distances, offering increased freedom from visual aids.

Extended Depth of Focus (EDOF) IOLs

Extended depth of focus intraocular lenses offer a wider range of vision than traditional monofocal IOLs while minimizing the visual disturbances often associated with multifocal lenses. Patients can expect to achieve outstanding distance and intermediate vision, along with functional near vision, with seamless transitions between different focusing powers.

Toric IOLs

If you have astigmatism, a toric intraocular lens (IOL) may be your best choice for achieving sharper, clearer vision following cataract surgery. This advanced lens aims to correct astigmatism and improve your visual clarity.

In your pre-operative consultation, your eye doctor will review the options available at our practice and help you choose the most suitable IOL based on your budget, vision needs, and lifestyle.
