Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is a treatment which delivers special wavelengths of light with heat to restore smooth, younger-looking skin. With different wavelengths of light it can also lighten age spots, decrease redness and small facial veins, kill-acne causing bacteria or decrease hair growth. IPL is a safe, gentle procedure which is non-invasive with no discomfort and no down time. Providing gradual, natural looking improvement with very low risk, multiple IPL treatments spread out over the course of a few months will achieve the best results.

Before treatment a cold gel is applied to the area to be treated. The smooth hand piece is gently place on your skin delivering precise pulses of light. You may feel a slight warmth or a mild stinging like the snap of a rubber band. Treatments usually last about 20 minutes. After treatment, you can immediately reapply cosmetics and resume your normal activities.

• Hair Removal

  Traditional hair removal methods such as shaving, depilatories and waxing, give that wonderful smooth feeling to your skin. Don’t you wish it would last longer than few days or weeks? It can with IPL technology. The IPL hair removal process can be used on any area of the body-legs-bikini, face, underarms, back & chest. Both men and women alike will benefit from IPL treatments.

  This technology selectively targets melanin in the hair shaft with energy. This heats and damages the hair follicles so that growth is delayed or stopped entirely. With this treatment, only hairs in the active growing phase will be damaged. Thus multiple sessions are needed to treat hairs in different growth cycles. Our aesthetician  will customize your treatment plan based on you hair type and density. The procedure is most effective on light-skinned patients with dark hair follicles; however, new technology allows us to treat patients of most skin tones. Individuals with a dark tan should be aware that treatments sometimes produce slight discolorations on the skin. For this reason we recommend that our patients avoid tanning prior to all sessions.

• AgeSpots/ Pigmented Lesions

  Pigmented spots and freckles appear over time due to age and sun exposure. IPL treatments can effectively decrease or remove pigment leaving a more even colored complexion. The face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs, can all be treated quickly and safely.
